Frequently Asked Questions:
Question: What is Kingdom Sound International?
Answer:
Kingdom Sound International
promotes apostolic team ministry in order to prepare God's people for
effective works of service. We do not advertise this ministry. Instead,
we use representatives who depend upon the leading of the Holy Spirit
to guide us to the right places. We work with local churches over a
period of time in order to release a "Kingdom Sound" of praise by
reconnecting the body together through worship, fellowship, and
impartation. (We'll explain that in just a little bit…)
This ministry is quite unique, in that we
minister not only to spiritual needs, but to practical needs as well.
We utilize teams of people with a diverse set of abilities and
perspectives, and we work with you to assess your needs and desires,
and bring in the right people with the right giftings and temperaments
to address those needs and desires. We never force anything upon you,
and you are always free to ignore our input. You could consider us a type of "consulting firm" for the Body of
Christ.
Question: How do you accomplish this work within a congregation?
Answer:
Everything starts with an assessment - FREE to you - by a team of individuals with a heart to serve your congregation.
After this, we work with you to
encourage meaningful dialogue between your ministry leaders, staff, and counsel.
At the same time, we work with you to
shore up aspects of the church that could hinder fellowship in the
Lord - everything from administrative processes to "Websites That
Work."
Finally, we look for and encourage you to invest your strengths and skills in others that the Body may be One.
Question: Where does the name Kingdom Sound come from?
Answer: Kingdom Sound
gets it's name from Ezekiel 37:7 and Revelation 19:6. The "Kingdom
Sound" is the sound of praise by the house of God as they are refreshed
and brought back to life by the Spirit of God.
Ezekiel describes a "noise" as the House of
God was being brought back together. This is the same sound that the
Apostle John describes in Revelation as a sound "like the roar of
rushing waters."
(A little Music Physics lesson here: The
"roar" of rushing water is called "white noise," and is created by
combining at one time all of the frequencies that we can hear. It can
be harsh to the human ear, but, evidently, is beautiful to God's ears.
When we all sing a "new song" to the Lord, with different melodies and
ranges, we create a similar sound to that described by John as a "roar"
- it is the "Noise of the New Song!"©)
Question: What is the scriptural basis for this ministry?
Answer:
Ezekiel 37:1-14. God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones
(which is the whole house of Israel - and that includes us!). As
Ezekiel was doing what God told him to do, there was a loud noise
(which is the praise of his people), and bones came together again (a
restoration of fellowship), and the flesh came upon them (the muscle,
or power of God) and breath entered them (His Holy Spirit). This
scripture is our commission, and we use it as a plan for ministry.
Question: What's required of us?
Answer:
A willing and open heart to be connected with others in your community. We partner with you to seek God's best for you and your congregation.
Question: How long will this process take?
Answer:
There is no pat answer for this question. When we decide to work with a congregation, we spend as long as it takes to address many different aspects, with the goal being a congregation full of praise to
God for what He has done.
Question: What does this cost?
Answer:
Kingdom Sound's
ministry to you and your congregation is provided by others who have
received God's refreshing and empowerment. As you experience this
renewal, we believe you will desire to bless others, as well.
Guidelines will be provided to counsel and assist you in your giving.
Question: Apart from finances, can we take part in this ministry to other churches?
Answer:
Absolutely. The vision of Kingdom Sound
includes the building up and equipping of the Body of Christ for the
work of ministry. We have a process that works through the leadership
of the local church for forming "ministry teams" of people with tested
and proven character. And the best part is that one does not have to be
"full-time" in Ministry or leave their local church to take part in Kingdom Sound.
Our desire is to "cross-pollinate" among the Body of Christ - alone, we
cannot adequately represent the Body of Christ, but together in unity
we display God's glory among the nations.
Question: Are you accountable?
Answer:
Yes. We are accountable to a diverse board who are "Caretakers" of the
vision for this ministry and who give financial oversight. In addition,
each team member receives pastoral care from his or her home-church
pastor.
Question: What are your core beliefs?
Answer:
Our statement of faith is best summarized in the Apostle's Creed. For a more detailed statement of what we believe, check out What We Believe
Question: The scripture says to "know those who labor among you." How do we get to know you?
Answer:
We strongly encourage you to talk with those with whom we have worked
before. You need to be assured that we are firmly rooted and have a
strong base of support for what we do. We will gladly give you the
names of those to whom we are accountable and with whom we have worked. Contact us for more info.
