We operate under one overriding revelation:
God's
desire for us is wonderfully expressed in the correlation between the "marriage
relationship" and Christ's love for the church - it is designed to be an expression of His love for us, and our love for Him...
There
is a direct correlation between marriage and worship, and worship and
marriage. Therefore, everything we do can be viewed as an extension of
this revelation, and applied to practical aspects of everyday life.
These principles are available for every believer - married and
unmarried alike - and can give us insight into both relationships.
God's
approach to His relationship with us is one of grace and mercy.
Ephesians 5 describes the "perfect" marriage, while also giving us
insight into how we are to treat one another (if we will but only pay
